Not necessarily worth the higher cost of Monster brand. The connectors are too bulky to fit next to other connectors in the back of most receivers.
It was an easy set-up and when we saw the difference in the picture, we were all blown away. These cables were miraculous. I bought these cables to hook up my parents' HDTV to their Verizon Fios. The HDMI cable that was provided by Verizon did not come close to providing the true HD quality of the signal.
Got them in 2 days. Not sure of the brand, but pretty sure I got previous ones from Walmart. The Monster cable makes the colors much more vibrant.I ordered the Monster cable from ProCablesDirect for about $18. Very pleased. I bought this cable to see if I could improve the picture of a Sony DVD player that I have linked to a 27" trinitron. There is a noticeable improvement in the picture over the previous component cable that I was using.
You get what you pay for. I have a Sony XBR5 and the picture is awesome with these cables. I have tried others that dont look as well, but were cheaper. Item just as described. If you are willing to spend $5000+ on a TV then pony up the bucks for the good cables to match. It DOES make a difference on what cables you buy no matter what other people say. Works perfectly and worth every penny. The ones that cant see a difference arnt using it on top of the line products.
Cost too much anywhere else. Needed a good cable run behind the wall, works great, no problems yet.
